According to the announcement of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (No. 23 of 2022), SJ/T 11812.1-2022 "Performance Specification for Lithium-ion Batteries and Battery Packs for Distributed Energy Storage Part 1: Household Energy Storage" was approved and issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on October 20, 2022, and will be implemented on January 1, 2023.

SJ/T 11812.1-2022 "Performance specification for lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for distributed energy storage Part 1: Household energy storage" applies to lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for household energy storage, and specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, quality assessment and identification, packaging, transportation and storage of lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for household energy storage.

The issuance of this standard provides the necessary standard basis and test methods for the performance inspection of lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for household energy storage, so as to ensure that the products meet the basic performance requirements, and provide effective support for improving the technical level of household energy storage and lithium-ion batteries in China and standardizing the healthy development of the industry.
